Has any one had any experience with using Bowens flash heads with a generator, I have a job on Sunday and I need to use my studio in a TENT. I don't want to blow anything up.

I'll post the answer to my own question. YES you can used your bowens flash units with a generator. BUT you must used a pure sine wave generator or 'BANG'!. You can use an 'inverter' but again you must use a pure sine wave model. Wink

I traded the yacht for a tent. You can fit more girls in a tent! Wink

The truth is Roger that I agreed to take some photo's of kids as a fundraiser for the disabled rider association of WA. Had a great day. Bowens lights worked very well off the generator, turns out that we ran most of the other stalls as well! Generators must have a load on them all the time, the lights only draw a current when charging and require only a small voltage when waiting. Smile
