Humour:

One of my earliest pages at PhotoRog.com, when I realised you
needed more info on how to photo-shoot a teen model, when I said you
needed, what I really meant to say was that in fact many of you
asked for more ideas and help when photographing a model.

So I set out to write a "day in the life" as it were, on a beach
location photo-shoot with the now legendary teen model Maayan, who
still receives offers of marriage and other things I can't mention
here, on a weekly basis! Rolling Eyes

http://www.photorog.com/mycustompage0122.htm

It was just another ordinary day, about to be spiced up a bit with
the volatile mix of pro photographer (that's me by the way), our
little model Maayan with big ideas especially about herself, my
assistant David who 'hangs' with me the photographer, he probably
objects to taking orders from a boss twice his age, and Models Mom
Lee.

I can tell you, all that is needed is a match and the sparks will fly.

So take another look at this page and see if you can take the grin
off your face, keeping in mind that the story had to be watered
down a little to get it past the censors on the website! Laughing

Live life today Rolling Eyes

Peter,

Finding a Model is largely a matter of luck or good judgment, unless you have the ready cash to pay a full professional model from one of the agencies.

To read how I found Model Maayan, check out this page:

http://www.photographymoneymaking.com/mycustompage0004.htm

Remember there are certain rules that you have work with if the model is a minor and under the age of 18.

Hello Gents! i am not sure if this is under the right heading

but now i have a shoot setup for tomorrow (Saturday May 9, 2008)

if i was to get a paying client, i would have to show myself, well my pics. so i approached a woman i had met sometime ago, and ask if i could put a digital pic frame in her window. she runs a tattoo shop. not only did i get permission, but she had set me up with her daughter and grand child for a shoot so that i have something to display. bad part. i have to do it in her shop. i tried to change the venue to a rented studio. no go! the place may have about the same floor space as the rental studio, but the studio is free space, this is not, not free enough....????

so tomorrow, i will be carting my new D300, (got everything but the MB D10, to fire at 8 per second, back ordered everywhere here, including Nikon) background stands, portable studio strobes that i have kept in the original box for 2 year for i had no place to set them. i have purchased some rags to use for the back drop. i did not think cloth cost this much.

the shoot is after 3pm, the windows face east, and north. if it stays a bright day i am hoping for some natural light shots, but i think that may fade fast on me.

does anyone have a bright thought as to how i may lessen the work load, with setting everything up. the walls in the place are cluttered. nice simple artwork. but very busy.

off to test my strobes next i guess .....

cheers
